WORK PERMIT

WORK PERMIT

A Work Permit allows foreign nationals to legally work in Canada, enabling you to gain valuable Canadian work experience or join family members already in the country. Whether you’re a student, skilled worker, or a spouse, we help you navigate Canada’s work permit pathways with clarity and precision. At JASMI Immigration, we simplify the process to get you working in Canada with
confidence.

Types of Work Permits

Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP)
The Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) allows international graduates from Designated Learning Institutions (DLIs) to work in Canada and gain essential work experience. This open work permit lets you work with any employer across
Canada.

 LMIA-Based Work Permit
A Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA)-based work permit is required when a Canadian employer demonstrates the need to hire a foreign worker. The employer must first obtain a positive LMIA from ESDC before the permit is issued, allowing the foreign worker to fill a critical role.
LMIA-Exempt Work Permit
An LMIA-Exempt Work Permit is available to those who qualify for specific exemptions, such as individuals under international agreements (e.g., NAFTA), intra-company transferees, or those with exceptional talent contributing to Canada’s
economy.
Spousal Work Permit
The Spousal Work Permit is designed for spouses or common-law partners of full-time students or skilled workers in Canada. This open work permit allows spouses to work for any employer while residing in Canada.
Work Permit Exemptions
Certain categories of individuals may be exempt from needing a work permit altogether. This includes business visitors, diplomats, and members of foreign armed forces. We help you understand whether you qualify for such exemptions and guide you through the process.
